Free sticky note app
Note-It is a productivity application developed by Veign. As the name suggests, this free application works as a simple yet efficient sticky note utility for your desktop. With this, you can jot down important notes and other reminders and see them whenever you launch your computer.
Note-It works like the native sticky note app on most desktop computers. Although, the app offers various menu options. It also comes with a special note menu that adds a timestamp and an alarm to your notes. However, the app looks outdated, and the menu option is only accessible via right-click.
What is Note-It?
Note-It is your typical sticky note app. Once launched, it provides you with a small sticky note interface, where you can write everything you want. Of course, you can expand its size to fit all the words you want to type. You can also change the appearance of the sticky note by selecting a different color, font style, and font size from the Note Options in the right-click context menu.
As mentioned, the app has a special notes option. Here, you can put an alarm on your notes to be reminded of them on a certain date and time. You can also turn your sticky note into a digital clock by tapping the Time option. Moreover, you can place your RSS feed by providing a URL. The option also allows you to see your computer's memory and drive information.
However, there are a few drawbacks that need consideration. For one, it looks a little outdated compared to the native sticky notes of the latest Windows version. Additionally, it does not save your sticky note on the app itself. You have to save them as a file on your local storage. Finally, you cannot minimize the app, so the sticky note will hover on any window you open.
Should you use it?
All in all, Note-It is a handy tool to have, especially if you have a lot of notes that you need reminding. It works how you expect a sticky note app should be. Even better, it comes with some advanced features. Although, it does look outdated compared with other similar apps. Also, having the notes hovering on top of any window you open can be a hassle.
